United Women learn FA Cup quarter-final opponents

Tuesday 11 February 2025 18:43

Manchester United have been drawn against Sunderland in the Adobe Women's FA Cup quarter-finals.

The draw for the last eight took place at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday evening, streamed live via the competition's official YouTube page.

United Women are the defending champions, of course, following last season's unforgettable 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the national stadium.

Marc Skinner's Reds have made an excellent start to this season's competition, too, chalking up 7-0 and 6-0 wins over West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers, respectively.

Following the draw at Wembley, United Women can now look forward to a quarter-final against Sunderland at Leigh Sports Village.

The Championship side have reached this stage of the competition by recording wins over Huddersfield Town, Exeter City and Portsmouth.

The exact date and kick-off time is still to be confirmed, with the quarter-final matches taking place across the weekend of Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 March.
