Lindelof explains Hojlund excitement

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof says he cannot wait to play alongside summer signing, and fellow Scandinavian, Rasmus Hojlund.

Having joined from Atalanta earlier this month, the 20-year-old is yet to make his bow for the Reds, following a minor injury that has kept him out of first-team action.

Stepping up his return at Carrington over the past few weeks, anticipation has continued to build among supporters as to when the Reds' newest addition will make his first appearance.

Victor insists he feels the very same way about what United can achieve with Rasmus now part of the side, with Erik ten Hag's men set to do battle on four fronts this season.

Victor talks Ten Hag and Onana, whilst also sharing his aspirations for the new season in this exclusive chat...

"It's been great," responded the United defender, when asked how he feels about having the Dane at the club.

"Ever since he signed, obviously he hasn't been able to train with us yet, but, hopefully, he can score goals for us and help us win games.

"I'm looking forward to working with him and hopefully he can be back soon with the team."

With a new goalkeeper behind him too in the shape of fellow summer arrival Andre Onana, there will be an adaptation period for some of the Reds' longer-serving players, when it comes to integrating the new men.

Starting to get used to a new voice in between the sticks, Lindelof insists he is happy with the demands put on him by our new no.24.

Every transfer inspires excitement. But few signings in United history can have aroused more intrigue than Andre.

"He’s a very nice guy, I mean since he's been settling in very well, you know he speaks Spanish, French and English as well," said Victor.

"So it's easy for him to communicate with with everyone and that also makes it easier for him.

"He's not afraid to speak up and that's always a good thing. Like I've said before, you should be able to demand things from your team-mates and yeah he's been doing that."
Entering into his seventh season as a Red, after arriving from Benfica back in 2017, Victor also explained how his aims for success have also remained the same throughout.

"Obviously, coming here, I had a goal to be important for the team and to play a lot of games and and try to be successful at this club," he added.

"Going into my my seventh season now, I still have the same goal and the same objectives.

"I want to be successful and compete for trophies. That’s the thing I want."
