Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is enjoying getting to know fellow centre-back Lisandro Martinez, as the pair continue to develop their partnership at the heart of our defence.

With Harry Maguire injured and Raphael Varane working his way back to full fitness, Martinez and Lindelof started both of our recent victories against Omonia and Everton, and produced strong performances along the way.

They could continue their partnership in Thursday's reverse fixture with the Cypriot side and our no.2 has spoken positively about his relationship with the former Ajax man, as well as improving squad morale under Erik ten Hag.

“It's been good,” he said, when quizzed on his relationship with Lisandro during the press conference.

“Since he came he has been performing at a good level and he is a fantastic player, he is very good with the ball.

“I have played two games with him now and the last game now was better than the first one, we played a good game.”

United will hope to make it three wins from four on Thursday evening in M16 and also capitalise on the strong spirit that is being formed around the squad.

After winning seven of the last nine fixtures across all competitions, Lindelof is confident the good times can continue with similar performances.
