Victor Lindelof

Lindelof resumes full training

Sunday 28 July 2024 21:31

Victor Lindelof resumed full training at UCLA on Sunday, after missing the opening games of Manchester United’s pre-season.

The Sweden international was among several first-team players who missed the first game against Rosenberg as they worked on fitness after the summer break.

He then sat out the Rangers game in Edinburgh with a small niggle and, while he has been recovering well, he was not ready for Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles.

However, Victor – who watched the game at SoFi Stadium from the dugouts – was back in full training with the rest of the group in the latest session.

The 30-year-old made 28 appearances last term, returning from injury in the closing stages at Wembley to help us seal the Emirates FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.

Earlier this week, Lindelof explained the benefits of tour and the work Ten Hag and his men are currently putting in.

“Well it's super-important,” he said.

“Obviously, first, the fitness, so that we are ready for when the games are coming, and obviously just building the group and working on the details.

“The pre-season is super, super-important for us.”

Lindelof will hope to be in contention for selection in San Diego, when United play Real Betis at the Snapdragon Stadium.
