Vote for United's August Goal of the Month
Calling all Reds: the vote is now open to decide Manchester United’s first 2023/24 Goal of the Month.
Our men's team, Under-21s and Under-18s kicked off their respective campaigns in August, and the shortlist - which you can now have your say on – comprises of efforts scored in competitive action by those sides.
Eight goals are up for the award, and you are invited to make your selection. Be sure to watch our video of the nominees below, before voting in the official poll near the bottom of this article. Both actions require you to be a registered user of ManUtd.com and the United App but signing up is quick, easy and free to do.
Goal of the Month: August's shortlist
Goal of the Month | Watch the eight attempts that make up our August shortlist before voting for your winner...
Three goals scored by Erik ten Hag’s Reds this August are included, with our list featuring Raphael Varane’s all-important headed winner against Wolves on the first weekend of the new Premier League season.
While Rapha opened his account for the campaign with that attempt, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen got on the scoresheet for the first time in 2023/24 during Saturday’s comeback victory over Nottingham Forest, and they also see their first goals of the new term included.
Eriksen cleverly flicked home a swift ball across the box from Marcus Rashford to halve Forest’s two-goal deficit, before Casemiro drew us level in the match, by finishing off a well-worked free-kick routine.
Ethan Williams put the cap on a swift back-to-front move in the U18s’ 4-0 win at Middlesbrough with a thunderous net-finding strike that earns a place among our nominees.
The other four come from the U21s’ resounding 10-1 triumph over Stoke City in Premier League 2 at the weekend.
Goals by Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Sam Mather, Mateo Mejia and Maxi Oyedele in that match are in contention to win and vying for your vote.
Good luck to all of our nominated Reds!
