Vote now: United Women’s Player of the Month

Thursday 29 February 2024 17:15

The voting is now open to decide Manchester United Women’s Player of the Month for February 2024.

Marc Skinner’s side played just three times this month, due to a two-week international break that saw us into March, winning two and losing one.

The Reds kicked off the month with a comprehensive victory over Brighton, before booking a spot in the last eight of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup. Our loss came away from home at the Emirates Stadium, where we were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal.

As the business end of the campaign approaches, we’re inviting you to submit your February Player of the Month choice by voting in the poll below.

Who was United Women's Player of the Month for February?

NIKITA PARRIS | 3 APPEARANCES, 2 GOALS

Nikita Parris is in fine form this term and has continued that since the turn of the new year. Having narrowly been pipped to a Player of the Month award last month by Ella Toone, our no.22 is once again in the mix and previously won it back in November.

It was Brighton who felt the wrath of Keets’ form, with goals either side of the interval enough to send them back down south with nothing to show for their efforts as we collected all three points.

Parris is leading the way in terms of goalscoring for United, with eight in the WSL so far, already doubling her tally of four from last season.

MILLIE TURNER | 3 APPEARANCES, 1 CLEAN SHEET

Our stalwart at the back has earned her nomination with yet another excellent run of performances, proving a real leader of the pack in defence.

Millie was integral in our display against the Seagulls at the start of the month, when we went on to keep a clean sheet, limiting Brighton to just two shots on target throughout the 90. She also starred as we progressed in the FA Cup, despite Southampton equalising.

Her nomination comes after she made her England debut on Tuesday, so it's not a bad week for Millie to have!

LISA NAALSUND | 3 APPEARANCES, 1 ASSIST

With a consistent run of games in the starting XI, Lisa Naalsund has really come into her own of late. It is quite fitting that just over a year on from welcoming her to the club, the Norwegian has been recognised as one of our top performers across the last month.

A key player in the Reds’ win over Brighton, she was ever-present in our fifth-round success against the Saints when she provided the key pass for Ella Toone’s opener on the south coast.

Naalsund’s box-to-box nature makes her a key ball-carrier across the middle of the park, allowing her to bridge the gap between attack and defence, something which has seen her catch the eye of fans in February.

Congratulations, and good luck, to all three Reds!
