Watch United U18s in action this weekend

Travis Binnion's side will be seeking a third domestic victory of the season, having already recorded wins over Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers

The game will be shown live on MUTV, ManUtd.com and the United App with build-up commencing 15 minutes prior to the 12:30 BST kick-off.

Our Under-21s are also in action, meeting Tottenham at Stevenage's Lamex Stadium (12:00 BST), and we will have highlights of the Premier League 2 clash.

SEASON SO FAR

Having won two and lost two, our young Reds have had a mixed start to the 2022/23 campaign.

Beginning the season with a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, Manni Norkett is the side's top scorer so far with four strikes to his name.

Losses against Liverpool and Stoke soon followed, before returning to winning ways against Blackburn on the opening day of October. 

The Reds' last outing was a 4-1 defeat to Saturday's opponents, the Magpies, as we look to avenge our most recent U18 Premier League Cup loss.

THE OPPOSITION

Newcastle are currently managed by Graeme Carrick, younger brother of former United midfielder Michael, who recently took on the Middlesbrough job.

Winning just one their last five meetings in all competitions, the Magpies sit two places below the Reds in 12th position in the U18 Premier League table.

Having beaten Binnion's side 4-1 earlier this month, Carrick's charges have found the net 18 times thus far this term, a record our Academy boys will need to be aware of.
