How to watch Rangnick's first press conference
Ralf Rangnick will hold his first press conference as Manchester United interim manager on Friday morning and, as always, you can watch it live via our club channels.
It was announced on Monday that the highly respected German will take charge of the Reds until the end of this season, before continuing in a consultancy role for a further two years.
The process of applying for a work permit meant that Rangnick could not manage United in tonight’s fixture against Arsenal at Old Trafford, where Michael Carrick will continue his role as interim.
We are delighted to confirm that Ralf’s permit has now been approved and he will be officially unveiled in front of the media on Friday morning.

In Monday’s club statement, Rangnick looked forward to working with our squad and enjoying success this season: “I am excited to be joining Manchester United and focused on making this a successful season for the club. The squad is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience.
“All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfil their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team. Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club’s longer-term goals on a consultancy basis.”
