What do our fans make of the fixture announcement?

Thursday 20 August 2020 11:13

Manchester United fans across the world are eagerly anticipating the start of our 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

The Reds get underway a week after the new top-flight season begins, due to our extended run in the UEFA Europa League. That means the ’20/21 term starts in roughly a month's time when we host Crystal Palace on the provisional date of 19 September.

The Premier League fixture announcement is always one of the biggest dates in our calendar and we wanted to hear what you, the fans, think about the schedule.

We’ve scoured through the responses on Facebook and picked out some of the best comments from our loyal supporters…

Everyone's talking about the Premier League fixtures and what will be another exciting season! Get up to speed here...

James Brown
“Dream set of fixtures really, a fairly easy start and all the "tough" games are fairly well spread out. Lets go!”

Rohan Motwani
“We play against the big six at home initially and then away in the second half. This sucks! If they allow fans back into stadiums, it is more likely to be in the second half. We won’t have home advantage in that case.”

Sean Peters
“City and Leeds at home in one week. Let's hope we're allowed back in by then!”
Kelvin T. Orhungul
“Our last five games in May [Liverpool H, Aston Villa A, Leicester H, Fulham H, Wolves A] are all winnable.”

Jack Breslin
“Happy to start at home against Palace and it’s important that we pick up with three points.”

Manasseh Mehta
“Last season we lost to Palace at Old Trafford and won away at Selhurst Park. Let's start with a win as we did against Chelsea last season in our opening game.”
