Sunday 28 May 2023 20:30

Erik ten Hag issued an impassioned speech to the Old Trafford faithful at the end of Manchester United's 2-1 win over Fulham.

The boss took to the microphone to thank everybody for their efforts throughout 2022/23, as the Reds sealed third spot with our latest home win, and can look forward to next weekend's Emirates FA Cup final, against Manchester City, with optimism.

Indeed, Ten Hag vowed the team would give their all in trying to beat the Blues, in order to land our second trophy of the campaign, and it brought an ear-shattering din in response from the supporters who were staying behind to offer their appreciation for the campaign.

You have to watch the manager's stirring speech on the Old Trafford turf...

"First of all, I want to say thank you to our players," he said. "I think they played a brilliant season and I want to thank you, also, they get supported by the staff, so I would also say thank you to the staff, who also did a magnificent, good job.

"Secondly, I want to thank you all," he said to the fans. "We felt a really strong bond during the season, at Old Trafford and also away. So I want to thank you for the season, for the contribution, for backing us, for the support, and it was great, so thank you.

"When I say these words, there is still one game to go, and I am sure, that these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week. So we count on you as well. They will give everything if you are backing us. I am sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford."

Such rousing words drew a belting rendition of 'We're on the march with Ten Hag's army, we're all going to Wembley' from the crowd, as we look forward to seeing the Reds roared on again at the national stadium next Saturday.
