When will we wear the new 2021/22 home kit?

Thursday 15 July 2021 09:00

Our new Manchester United home kit for the 2021/22 season is out now, so when will Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Reds wear the adidas strip for the first time?

Fans are asking that question following this morning’s global launch of a shirt that is inspired by our legendary kits of the 1960s, worn by legends like George Best, Sir Bobby Charlton and Denis Law.

We can officially confirm that our current crop of players will debut the 2021/22 kit in Sunday’s first pre-season friendly, against Derby County at Pride Park Stadium.

The game kicks off at 13:00 BST on Sunday 18 July and fans can watch it live, exclusively on MUTV. To view the games on MUTV, subscribe today and enjoy 12 months for the price of six!

After the match against Derby, we will then face Queens Park Rangers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday 24 July, before returning to the north-west ahead of further fixtures with Brentford (H, 28 July), Preston (A, 31 July) and Everton (H, 7 August).
