Mason Greenwood is the latest Manchester United star to take part in our fans' Q&A sessions and he provided a string of great responses on a variety of topics.

One of the thousands of questions we received came from Charlie T in the United Kingdom and it prompted a little pause from the Reds' no.11 as he pondered his response.

Charlie wanted to know which celebrity the 19-year-old would most like to meet and hang out with.

Usain Bolt shows off his United allegiance.

Mason had a quick check that he could choose any global figure and then opted for a man who dominated sprinting on the biggest stage.

“That’s a good question, Charlie,” commented Greenwood. “Any celebrity in the world? Oof! For me, it’s got to be Usain Bolt.

“I used to love my athletics when I was younger. I used to love watching it with my parents and two sisters. He is a good inspiration, a world leader in what he used to do. It’s probably him.”

Bolt is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes of all time and the current world-record holder in the 100 metres, 200 metres and as part of the Jamaica 4 x 100 metres relay team. He won an incredible eight gold medals in the Olympics after his exploits in 2008, 2012 and 2016 but is not taking part in Tokyo 2020 after retiring in 2017.

Nonetheless, the Jamaican is due to play in the upcoming Soccer Aid event at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 4 September, along with the likes of Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney.

It's the question no modern-day football fan can escape, and now Mason has revealed his personal opinion.

Bolt is a huge United fan and would, no doubt, be delighted to meet up with Mason one day to discuss his favourite team.

Our talented homegrown forward has a background of competing in athletics for local club Spenborough, where he enjoyed a string of victories over a number of distances from 60 up to 1,500 metres.

He apparently also still holds the West Yorkshire Track & Field League long-jump record for under-11 boys!
