Manchester United completed an emphatic second-half comeback at Old Trafford to beat Aston Villa 3-2 in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

Trailing by two goals as the second-half began - after John McGinn and Leander Dendoncker both found the net in the first period - Erik ten Hag's men scored three times through both Alejandro Garnacho (two) and Rasmus Hojlund.

Sending the Theatre of Dreams into a state of delirium, the Reds ensured a Boxing Day to remember, as we marked our final home game of 2023 in superb fashion.

It was Garnacho who scooped the award this evening, after his fine performance in which he found the net twice in the second period.

The teenager was a livewire throughout and capped off a fine team display with two well-taken goals.

Speaking to Amazon Prime after the win, our no.17 was clearly thrilled.

"It’s a great feeling," he said. "We are Manchester United.

"We are 2-0 down and we never give up. It’s a great comeback from the team.

"We keep pressing and I’m very happy for Rasmus [Hojlund] to also get his goal.

"Too many people talk about the strikers at Manchester United never score goals or assist but today, Marcus Rashford with the assist, and us with the goals so we are happy."
