Manchester United winger Antony has hailed the support of team-mate Diogo Dalot in recent weeks, admitting our defender has helped him through a tough period.

Our no.21 came off the bench to net a wonderful equaliser against Liverpool in our 4-3 Emirates FA Cup success, tucking the ball past Caoimhin Kelleher to force extra-time in the tie.

Having been made to wait patiently for his chance in recent weeks, Antony showed his professionalism as he also operated at full-back for the final stages against Jurgen Klopp's side.

The former Ajax man has revealed that Dalot has been there to offer vital support, as of late, when most needed.

"I'm very grateful to God and to a friend I talk to a lot," said Antony.

"Diogo Dalot is more than a friend to me, he's a guy who helps me every day at the club.

"We have a phrase that we always say to each other: the patient guy is unbeatable.

"We always talk about it. So I'm very grateful to him for his advice, for the moments we had together talking. He's a guy who's helped me a lot."
Returning to make quite the impact in netting his second goal of the season against our fiercest rivals, Antony will hope to kick on as we approach a crucial part in the campaign.

With an FA Cup semi-final to play, against Coventry City, and the race for a top-four spot still on, Antony also added how he knew something special was brewing ahead of our crucial clash against the Merseysiders.
"Before the game, I told Diogo that I felt something different," said Antony.

"I felt something good. I felt I was going to score today, so I'm very happy about that.

"With regard to Dalot, as I said, he's my best friend here at the club.

"He's a guy we're always talking to, he's always advising me and his mentality is out of the ordinary."
