Who does Rashford practise penalties against?

Marcus Rashford says he spends time practising penalties in training against Dean Henderson – simply because he's the goalkeeper who know his game best.

Rashford recently sat down with his team-mate for a look over his memorable debut against FC Midtjylland, which took place exactly five years ago on Thursday.

The pair reminisced about their time growing up together as Reds and discussed life in the first team now.

Why Rashford celebrated with Deano

Rashford and Henderson discuss growing up together at United and Marcus's famous debut.

They also joked about shoot-out drills in training (which they had been going through on the morning of the interview) and Rashford explained why he loves to hone his penalty skills against Henderson and fellow United stopper Joel Pereira, who is currently on loan at Huddersfield Town.

“We do practise against each other,” he explained.

“I always like to practise against Dean and Joel because, probably out of all the keepers, they know me best and my finishing drills and stuff like that.

“If I can score against them I know I can score against anyone, so I have to test myself against these guys.”

Bruno Fernandes is, of course, the regular first-team penalty-taker, but no-one will forget arguably Marcus's most famous ever strike from the spot – that last-gasp winner in Paris which sealed a famous Champions League victory over Paris Saint-Germain back in 2019.
