Who was Man of the Match?

Alejandro Garnacho was voted as Manchester United's Man of the Match, following our 2-0 Premier League win over Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Despite the result, it wasn't all plain sailing for the Reds, who were under the cosh for spells of the game from an Everton side fighting relegation.

Garna was the primary difference maker though, winning two penalties during the first half, for fouls by James Tarkowski and Ben Godfrey.

Bruno Fernandes tucked the first into Jordan Pickford's bottom left-hand corner, before Marcus Rashford stepped up for the second and sent the ball into the opposite side of the net.

United had further opportunities to increase our lead, with Garnacho firing wide twice in the second half when played in by Bruno Fernandes.

Despite those near-misses, the 19-year-old was the clear favourite in our post-match poll.

Garnacho, who had 49 touches of the ball in total, with 10 of those occurring in the box, became the first Red to be awarded two spot-kicks during a game in the Premier League.

After the game, he spoke to Jules Breach of TNT Sports to emphasise the importance of the result and clarify his role in the side.

"Now and in every game, the manager has said it is like a final. We have to win every single game as we are Manchester United. So the job has to be done," he said.

"The manager wants me to go one v one, to shoot, to dribble. I won two penalties. It's important that I can help the team."

Alejandro moves on to three MOTM awards for the season, with Bruno Fernandes still out in front on five.
