Who was United's Man of the Match?

On Amazon Prime Video, Alan Shearer opted for Bruno Fernandes as his Man of the Match, while former Red Patrice Evra elected to go for fellow full-back Diogo Dalot.

Both were superb in Manchester United's fully merited 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, a result that cuts the gap on the third-placed Londoners to four points, with Erik ten Hag's team having a game in hand.

The voting was extremely close in the United App - thank you to everybody who registered their opinion.

Fernandes came out on top after his energetic performance was capped with a fine second goal, curling the ball past the impressive Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal.

The skipper collected the accolade as the Reds' midfielders took the plaudits from an outstanding team display. Back to his very best, the Portugal international was influential from the start and behind most of our bright attacking moves, including one audacious dummy in the middle of the park. He also had a goal ruled out for offside following a cheeky shimmy past Lloris.

While Bruno scooped 34 per cent, Fred was only one per cent behind after an effervescent performance that drew praise from manager Erik ten Hag. The Brazilian's deflected shot opened the scoring, seconds after the break, and he was also involved in the build-up to Fernandes's clincher.

Casemiro came in third, with 18 per cent, after another dominant display in the engine room, showing why the Reds bought him from European champions Real Madrid in the summer.

Dalot was rather unlucky to only pick up three per cent, alongside the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Antony.

It is the first time Fernandes has won the award this season.
