Who was our Man of the Match against RC Lens?
Marcus Rashford, Antony and Casemiro scored as Manchester United defeated RC Lens 3-1 in our only summer friendly at Old Trafford.
The Reds had to come from behind after a stunning opening goal from Florian Sotoca from close to the halfway line left us trailing at the break.
But United came out fighting in the second half and, within 15 minutes of the restart, we had secured a two-goal cushion after Rashford’s leveller was followed by a quickfire double from our Brazilian duo.

There were plenty of notable appearances among those in our line-up, with Andre Onana and Mason Mount getting their first taste of Old Trafford as Reds, while Lisandro Martinez was back in the team in M16, after missing the end of last season through injury.

A lively presence throughout, and the provider of a sensational assist for our second goal, Alejandro Garnacho took the majority of the voting from supporters to be recognised as our Man of the Match against Lens.
The young Argentinian ran the length of the flank, before picking out a perfect pass to find Antony to finish for our all-important second, to put us ahead.
Our no.49 had showed promise in the first half too, regularly providing a threat cutting inside from the left and going close with another strike that sailed just wide.

Garnacho took 42 per cent of the voting, and behind him in second was Rashford, who was backed by 15 per cent of supporters.
Rashford was found by Antony with a clever pass in behind just minutes into the second half, when he slotted beyond goalkeeper Brice Samba with the help of a slight deflection.

Antony himself finished third in the voting, trailing just behind with a 13 per cent share of the voting, being recognised having tucked home from Garnacho’s pass moments on from teeing up Rashford.
