Jadon Sancho scored Manchester United's only goal of the game on Thursday night, and it was enough to beat Leicester City and secure all three points in the East Midlands.

Sancho's second goal of the season also earned him our official Man of the Match award, as voted for by you in the United App.

Jadon received 25 per cent of the nominations in our poll, with Bruno Fernandes finishing second on 15 per cent.

Centre-backs Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez - MOTM winner against Liverpool and Southampton - received 14 per cent after another clean sheet on the road.

Jadon is eager to get on the scoresheet more as both he and the team progress under Erik ten Hag.

“We stuck to the game plan,” Jadon told MUTV at full-time.

“We knew Leicester would come out fighting in the second half, and as you could see, they had a few chances towards the end. Leicester’s not easy but the team stuck at it and we got the three points at the final whistle.

“I want to score as many goals as possible, but I have to keep on trying every time I get those opportunities. Hopefully, I can score next time.”

Ten Hag himself was keen to point out how a boost in physicality has helped Jadon in the early stages of the campaign.

“I think he had a quite good pre-season,” Ten Hag told reporters at his post-match press conference. “He understands now he has to invest physically and that’s what he did, now he gets the reward.

“This is what he has to bring and I’m sure this is just the start for him.

“With his potential there’s much more room for improvement and then he can even be more important and contribute with his creativity, with scoring goals and assisting and also the defending part he can be even more important.”

Congratulations Jadon - and thanks to everyone for voting!
