Manchester United edged Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane, thanks to goals from Scott McTominay and Diogo Dalot.

McTominay put the Reds ahead in the first half with a volley, before Oli McBurnie dragged the hosts level from the penalty spot.

The second half was a tight affair but a moment of magic from right-back Diogo Dalot settled the contest, as he curled an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

On a day that saw United mourn the passing of club legend Sir Bobby Charlton, the victory over Sheffield United put a smile on the faces of our supporters, as Erik ten Hag's side returned from the international break in positive fashion.

But which Red edged our fan vote and was named Man of the Match?

The man who topped our fan poll, while not a goalscorer, was just as crucial to the victory as McTominay or Dalot.

Harry Maguire, who was once again firm and composed in equal measure, attracted a huge 35 per cent of the vote, after marshalling the United defence expertly and demonstrating his accomplished passing range.

Maguire made every single ball his, barely lost a single header, and is a worthy winner of our prize.

Diogo Dalot hopes United's win can give some joy to Sir Bobby Charlton's family, on the sad day of his passing...

Second to Harry is our matchwinner, Diogo Dalot, with 25 per cent.

The Portuguese defender was an option on the right throughout and in the second half, just as the match seemed to be petering out, he struck.

Dalot received the ball on the edge of the box and unleashed a curling effort beyond Wes Foderingham to prompt wild celebrations in the away end and ultimately seal the three points for United.

The Reds were deserving winners in Yorkshire, on an emotional day dominated by the death of Sir Bobby Charlton.

Fellow goalscorer Scott McTominay (11 per cent) and Reds skipper Bruno Fernandes (10 per cent) were next, with Sofyan Amrabat receiving seven per cent, Andre Onana three and Victor Lindelof two.

But, after all the votes had been tallied, Maguire was the clear winner of our Man of the Match, after a stellar showing against his former club.

Well done and well deserved, Harry.
