Who was United's Man of the Match?
Alejandro Garnacho was a deserved winner of our Man of the Match award, following Manchester United's 2-1 comeback victory over Brentford.
After sitting out of the international games with Argentina with a knock, our no.17 was selected from the off by Erik ten Hag, largely playing on the left as he proved a constant thorn in the side of Bees' right-back Sepp van den Berg.
Garna went close on several occasions in the first half, forcing a particularly impressive stop from Brentford keeper Mark Flekken, before Ethan Pinnock gave the visitors a half-time lead.
That goal, scored while Matthijs de Ligt was receiving treatment off the pitch, could have been hugely deflating but the Reds were rampant after the interval and it was Garnacho who led the charge.
The 20-year-old equalised within 90 seconds of the restart, timing his back-post run superbly before volleying home Marcus Rashford's precise cross.
He then tested Flekken again, with the Dutchman doing well to tip his effort from range around the post, as he also had the sun in his eyes.
Garna was the first across to celebrate with Rasmus Hojlund, who scored what turned out to be the winner and, as the Bees pushed for a late leveller, he continued to be a threat on the break, running clear and almost squaring to Hojlund for a possible third.
As can be expected at the end of an all-action encounter, Alejandro tired in the closing stages and was eventually replaced by Noussair Mazraoui.
He was afforded a standing ovation by the Old Trafford crowd and that was a sentiment echoed by users of the United App in the post-match poll.
Garna received 56 per cent of your votes, finishing well clear of Hojlund and Rashford, who each received 11 per cent following their own positive performances.
Alejandro is now our leading goalscorer in all competitions this season, with five strikes, and he has also won more Man of the Match prizes than anyone else.
This is his second award of 2024/25, following the 7-0 Carabao Cup win over Barnsley.
