Can Trossard play for Arsenal against United this weekend?
Earlier this afternoon, Arsenal announced the signing of winger Leandro Trossard from fellow Premier League club Brighton.
The Belgian is set to be eligible to feature for the Gunners against United in Sunday’s 16:30 GMT kick-off at the Emirates Stadium.
“He is a player that fits our way of playing for sure, and we are happy to have him,” said Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta in his pre-match press conference.

“He trained today [Friday] so hopefully he will be [available].”
When pressed on whether all the appropriate paperwork had been submitted in time for the winger to play against United, Arteta responded: “Yes, I think it is, I think he is good to go.”
Sunday’s match at the Emirates Stadium is the second time United will play in the capital in less than a week, after Erik ten Hag’s side drew with Crystal Palace 1-1 on Wednesday.
The Reds come into this match on a 10-match unbeaten run, while Arsenal have avoided defeat in the Premier League since the beginning of September.
The victors that day? Manchester United.
One of Erik’s own January arrivals, Wout Weghorst, made his debut in midweek versus Palace, and could be in line for his second appearance since arriving at the club on loan from Burnley.
Find out whether Trossard and Weghorst will feature, when the line-ups are announced across our official platforms at 15:30 GMT on Sunday.
