Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was named our official Man of the Match in the 4-1 win over Real Betis on Thursday evening.

Fernandes was voted – by the United supporters – as our star performer in the Europa League last-16 first-leg victory, earning a majority 49 per cent of the vote.
Our captain on the night played the probing pass that led to Marcus Rashford’s opener, before setting up Antony’s goal which saw the Reds retake the lead at 2-1.
Just over five minutes later, our no.8 was at the near post to successfully nod in Luke Shaw’s corner from the left.
Erik ten Hag’s side, of course, went on to win the encounter 4-1 against the La Liga side, with Bruno integral to the strong performance at Old Trafford, in which United responded to the weekend’s heavy defeat at Liverpool.
"He [Fernandes] played a little bit of a deeper role tonight, and I think he did brilliant,” Erik continued, in his post-match press conference.
“And he was the leader in making the game from the back, in possession, in making the rhythm of the game.
"A lot of good passes in between the lines. And from there we created a lot of chances.”
