Widely considered one of the brightest Scandinavian young talents, Anna Sandberg joined Manchester United in August 2024 from Damallsvenskan side BK Hacken.
The young defender is embarking on a move away from Sweden for the first time, having spent her youth career in her birth country. She had been with top-tier Swedish side Hacken since 2022.
Sandberg competed in the Champions League for two seasons prior to her United switch, key experience that manager Marc Skinner highlighted on her arrival. Hacken reached the quarter-final of the competition in 2023/24 after finishing above Real Madrid and Paris FC in the group stage.
The full-back also has senior caps to her name for Sweden and was the youngest member of her nation’s 2023 World Cup squad, where they finished third.
