Lea Schuller was an exciting addition to United’s attacking ranks midway through 2025/26, bringing experience, a winning mentality and her prolific goalscoring record to England.
Schuller joined us fresh from scoring more than 100 goals for Bayern Munich across a five-and-a-half-year spell, in which she won four Bundesligas and a German Cup.
The cup triumph came in 2025 as part of Bayern’s first-ever domestic double, with the forward netting a hat-trick in the final to help her old team get the better of Werder Bremen.
Lea also added UEFA Champions League football to her CV in Munich, where she moved in 2020 after successfully starting her senior career with fellow German club SGS Essen.
The striker – who thrives on direct play and crosses into the penalty box – came through Essen’s youth ranks and made her top-flight debut at the age of just 16, in December 2013, before establishing herself as a regular top-flight goalscorer across nearly 150 matches for the club.
A senior international for Germany since 2017, Schuller has also passed the half-century mark when it comes to goals for her country, who she represented in the UEFA Euro 2022 final and collected an Olympic bronze medal with two years later.
