Lea Schuller was an exciting addition to United’s attacking ranks midway through 2025/26, bringing experience, a winning mentality and her prolific goalscoring record to England.
She netted over 100 goals for Bayern Munich across a five-and-a-half-year spell, in which she won four Bundesligas and a German Cup, netting a hat-trick in the final to clinch the latter.
Lea quickly announced herself to the Reds following her winter move, netting her maiden United goal in her first start in an FA Cup tie with Burnley, and she added another in the WSL in our final home game of the season against Brighton. The striker – who thrives on direct play and crosses into the penalty box – came through Essen’s youth ranks and made her top-flight debut at the age of just 16, in December 2013. A senior international for Germany since 2017, Schuller has also passed the half-century mark when it comes to goals for her country, who she represented in the UEFA Euro 2022 final and collected an Olympic bronze medal with two years later.
