Fosu-Mensah: I will fight for this club
"It was a big injury and I feel blessed to be able to play again," says Tim, after returning with our Under-23s...
That was a game of two halves, right? "I think we did very well in the first half, scored three goals, then in the second half they scored two goals, came back with set-pieces and that is a learning point for the team." How important was it for you to play 90 minutes? "It was very important. As you know it was a big injury and I feel blessed to be able to play again, and I'm happy to have these 90 minutes under my belt." It was a big injury, so how are you feeling? "I feel fit, yeah. The fitness coaches have been working me very hard so I feel good. You've been out for almost a year - how tough has it been? "It is crazy, it is my first big injury of my career and it has almost been one year out. It has been a big test, but as I said in my last interview, I have so many good people around me to keep me motivated, to keep me working hard. Obviously, my team-mates keep motivated me and keep saying the right things to me, so I keep going." Have the fitness coaches been working you hard? "For sure it has been hard, but the work has been good." What are your aims for the rest of the season now? "The most important thing is to keep my body healthy, keep my mind healthy, I have good people around me, the people at the club are being good for me. So I am going to keep my body healthy, work hard and fight for this club."
