"It was cagey, but it was two good teams smashing it. We found it difficult in the first half to find a rhythm in the game. They pressed us high, we knew they were coming with a lot of intensity off the ball. We spoke about that at half time, we didn't get the rhythm of the ball. It was 0-0 and we thought we could've done a lot better. The second half was a lot better, we created openings and, like I say, we have created good chances, but two great saves"
“The confidence is there and they’ve gone into that game today, stood up to the pressure and overcome it. We kept it tight and at times we weren’t quite on key with our final pass, but overall there are many positives.”
“I thought that everything Liverpool threw at United we stood up to it. We looked dangerous on the counter-attack and we were well worthy of a point. David had one shot to save, but even that you’d expect him to make it. But he was mainly untroubled, which is some going at Anfield.”
“Probably a draw is fair. We’d have taken that before the game. We had good chances in the last 20 minutes, but unfortunately, we hit some efforts straight at Alisson. Thiago got a lot of the ball in the first half but as the game continued, his influenced decreased. David didn’t have too many saves to make all afternoon. We’d be pleased with a point, but a 0-0 draw is a great point and it shows the team’s progression in the last year.”
