As is tradition at Old Trafford, the manager has addressed the crowd following our final home game of the season - and Erik ten Hag was in defiant mood. The boss quickly brought all of our players together in the centre circle, a couple of minutes after the final whistle, but clearly wanted to get his message across in a timely manner - demonstrated, as he interrupted the end of Bruno Fernandes’ Sky Sports interview, to bring him together with the rest of the squad! Scroll up in the app feed to read what the manager had to say in full, but his message had two main takeaways: a thank you to the fans, who he described as the best in the world, and leaving us with no doubt that this team will give everything in our final two games of the season, first away to Brighton and then, of course, in the FA Cup final against Manchester City. Our players have since undertaken the traditional lap around the pitch to applaud our fans, with a decent number staying inside Old Trafford to show their appreciation for our Reds. We've had our frustrations this season, but Erik's address seems to have set the tone nicely for the season's end.

United hold on for three points in our final Premier League game of the campaign in M16. Kobbie Mainoo's opener was the difference at the interval before a second-half goal fest ensued. Anthony Gordon equalised within minutes of the half-time restart but we were quickly ahead again through Amad's sweet strike, just before the hour, and Rasmus Hojlund looked to have made sure of the win when he scored with under 10 minutes remaining, finishing smartly having just come off the bench. Lewis Hall curled home from range in stoppage-time to halve the arrears, but we held on for the three points - and now go into the final day level on points with today's visitors.

The Dane tried to pick out Rashford at the far post but it was poked behind for a corner, and Rashford then had another opportunity but saw his shot inside the box blocked.
