Manchester United forward Amad has provided an update on his injury after being withdrawn against Arsenal in our first encounter of Tour 2023.
After coming on at half-time, the 21-year-old collided with Gunners defender Jurrien Timber, with Facundo Pellistri introduced just before the hour mark in New Jersey.
Appearing to be holding his ankle, and in real discomfort, there was obviously initial concern around the severity of the injury, particularly as he was was seen leaving the MetLife Stadium on crutches.
However, the winger has used Instagram to provide the latest on a possible setback to his hopes of forcing his way into Erik ten Hag's plans for 2023/24.
It remains to be seen how long the forward will be out of action for, with the Reds next in action against Wrexham on Wednesday (03:30 BST), as Erik ten Hag expected to field a more youthful side against the EFL new boys, with Real Madrid to come on the following day.
Amad had shown promise in the Reds' opening two games of pre-season, bidding to impress after a fruitful loan spell with Championship side Sunderland last season.
Amad was nominated for the Championship Player of the Year last term, whilst also scooping Sunderland's prize for Young Player of the Season.
