Diogo Dalot has revealed his pride at reaching 150 Premier League appearances in a Manchester United shirt.
The Portugal international achieved the landmark on Sunday, as the Reds came from behind to achieve an important victory at Crystal Palace.
Dalot, who featured for the full 90 minutes in the left wing-back role, played a key part in our success in south London, winning the free-kicks from which Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount eventually found the net, via Bruno Fernandes assists.
After the game, Diogo reflected on his journey to this stage, having joined United as a teenager from FC Porto in 2018.
“Reaching 150 appearances is a source of pride for playing at the highest level for so many years,”
he said.
“I’m very happy to reach this beautiful milestone in the biggest league in the world.
“My journey has been one of constant growth as both a man and a player, and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, knowing that I’m only 26 and still have so much more to accomplish in my career.
“I’m enjoying every moment.”
Dalot is the 41st Red to reach this particular Premier League milestone, joining current team-mates Luke Shaw – who played his 300th game for United on Sunday – Fernandes and Harry Maguire.
He and Fernandes are part of a select group of 13 Portuguese players to have enjoyed 150 or more outings in the division, a list which is led by Luis Boa Morte, on 296 appearances.
