Erik's update on Antony, Dubravka and Wan-Bissaka

Erik ten Hag says he expects no further incomings at Manchester United, following the completion of ongoing discussions to sign Antony and Martin Dubravka.

The club announced an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Brazilian winger Antony on Tuesday (30 August) and also hope to tie up a deal with Newcastle United for Slovakia goalkeeper Dubravka.

It is expected those moves can be completed before Thursday's transfer deadline, but Ten Hag believes that is likely to represent the last of our summer acquisitions.

“Antony? First we have to sign him! There is an agreement between the two clubs, but the paperwork is not done, so I cannot go to deep into it, ”
began Erik, during his press briefing.

“Will that be the end of the signings? I think so, [that] for this window, it will be the end.

“But when there is great opportunity, you have to be always alert as a top club.”
Further outgoings remain a possibility, though one player who will be staying is Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The full-back is yet to start a match so far in 2022/23, but played an important role in the final stages of last Monday's 2-1 win over Liverpool.

As one of only two specialist right-backs in the first-team squad, Ten Hag told reporters at Friday's press conference that the Londoner will be staying put.

“Aaron is in and we will keep [him], he will stay in. So this squad will go from September until the minimum, January. We will play with this squad [for] the season.”
