Manchester United midfielder Fred made his 200th appearance for the club in tonight’s Premier League match against Brentford at Old Trafford.
Our no.17 came on in the 71st minute of our 1-0 triumph over the Bees, as Erik ten Hag's side got back to winning ways following Sunday’s loss at Newcastle.
Fred is the first Brazilian to achieve the feat, and only the second-ever South American player to do it, after former Reds captain and Ecuador international Antonio Valencia.
His six goals so far in 2022/23 – all of which have come at the Theatre of Dreams – mark his best scoring term for the club so far.
The first of his United appearances came in a Premier League opening-night win over Leicester City in August 2018, while his first goal followed in the next month, at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Our no.17 brought up 100 league matches for the Reds during last season’s Old Trafford match against Leicester and has now reached a double century for the club across all competitions this evening, also in front of our home supporters.
Congratulations on the amazing achievement, Fred!
