Reds react to Leeds win on social media

Fred was buzzing after scoring the all-important third goal in Manchester United's 4-2 win over Leeds United on Sunday, and the Brazilian midfielder took to social media to share his delight.

The 28-year-old had had just a few touches of the ball after coming off the bench when he lashed home a fierce shot past Illan Meslier at the Frenchman's near post. Jadon Sancho had laid off the ball well for Fred, who replaced the impressive Paul Pogba after 67 minutes and scored after 70.

Just minutes after full-time as United celebrated in the dressing room, Fred tweeted simply: 🔥.”

He followed it up soon after, tweeting: “All glory to God. The feeling of victory today is indescribable!”

He later said: “Thanks for all the messages. Very blessed Sunday ❤️”

Captain Harry Maguire put United ahead in the 34th minute, heading home from Luke Shaw's inswinging corner.

Over on Instagram, Anthony Elanga, who finished the game off by scoring United's fourth goal, shared a photo of him and Fred with the caption “Ma boy.”

The Swedish winger appeared to be struck by an object thrown from the crowd while celebrating United's third goal, and showed great maturity to respond by scoring a goal himself.

“A child of God can’t be broken ! #mufc 🌹 Derby is ours" he said on Instagram.
