How to watch and follow Liverpool v United

Manchester United face fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

The Reds will be looking to respond in a positive manner, following disappointing home defeats to Bournemouth and Bayern Munich.

League leaders Liverpool travel to Belgium to take on Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League on Thursday evening, before turning their attention to the weekend fixture.

Ten Hag: We have to accept it and learn

The Match Centre on ManUtd.com and in our app remains the go-to place for team news, stats, pre-match predictions and post-match reactions, and more.

Short match highlights of the game will be published two hours after the full-time whistle, while Full 90 and 90 in 20 editions will be available at midnight.

WHAT'S THE TEAM NEWS?

Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw were both forced off with injuries against Bayern on Tuesday evening, while Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford were unavailable for selection due to illness. Ten Hag may provide updates on their availability for the weekend during his pre-Liverpool press conference on Friday, which you can watch via ManUtd.com, our Official App and MUTV.

Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez are not expected to return before Christmas, while our trip to Merseyside could come too soon for midfielders Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount.

Amad made a welcome return to first-team training recently as the Ivorian edges closer to being involved in a matchday squad for the first time after picking up an injury on Tour 2023.

For the hosts, midfielder Alexis Mac Allister suffered a knee injury against Sheffield United, and the Argentinian looks unlikely to be fit to face United. Forward Diogo Jota is another name who is a doubt with a muscle issue.

Joel Matip, Andrew Robertson Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago Alcantara are long-term absentees.

HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD

United boast a winning record over our arch-rivals with 82 victories to Liverpool's 71, while there have been 58 draws between the two clubs.

Ten Hag's men had mixed results with Jurgen Klopp's side last season in the top flight, with United winning at Old Trafford and Liverpool claiming the three points at Anfield.
