Leny's fitness update

Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has provided a vital fitness update ahead of our return to Premier League action.

Yoro, who came off at half-time during our 1-1 draw with Arsenal earlier this month, was replaced by Ayden Heaven and is yet to return to the pitch.

But the young defender was spotted taking part in training at Carrington on Friday, as well as four other recently sidelined players.

The 19-year-old, was has emerged as a fan favourite this term, explained how he is faring in a recent sit-down chat with MUTV's Mark Sullivan.

“I feel really good, I am back in training today and [I feel] no pain. I am really happy with everything,” said Yoro.

Leny has made 21 appearances for United so far this term and will hope to be back in action as we approach a busy end to the season.

The Reds are bidding for success in the UEFA Europa League and have a first-leg tie with Lyon to look forward to on April 10.

The teenager also praised a whole host of people for helping him during his recovery and paid homage to their kind words.

“Honestly, everyone in the club [has] helped me,” added Yoro.

“Even with an injury in the middle of the season, the medical staff, the players, the fans, everyone was able to support me and this is something you need when you get a big injury.

”It has been really important for me.“

Ruben Amorim's side are in Premier League action on Tuesday as we host top-four hopefuls Nottingham Forest at The City Ground (20:00 BST).
