Who was Man of the Match against Leicester?

Manchester United and Leicester City battled out a 1-1 draw in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

The fans voted for our Man of the Match after a dramatic second half that saw a potential winner by James Maddison ruled out for a VAR call regarding a foul by Kelechi Iheanacho on Raphael Varane.

Fred scored our equaliser, finding the roof of the net after Bruno Fernandes's shot was saved by Kasper Schmeichel. It came after Iheanacho headed the visitors in front.

David De Gea got a hand to that effort but couldn't keep it out and he also made a superb save to deny Wesley Fofana.

Poll: Who was United's Man of the Match against Leicester City?

Fred was the clear victor after picking up 58 per cent of the vote, following a typically energetic performance to go alongside his goal.

It was his fourth strike in 24 Premier League appearances this term, his sixth overall, and it came in his 100th game in the division.

This is a second successive star-performer award for the Brazilian, after he was also Man of the Match against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Overall, he has won it three times in 2021/22 with the home win over Crystal Palace the other occasion.

De Gea finished in second place, with Bruno Fernandes third and captain Harry Maguire fourth, after a solid display against his former club.

Thank you to everybody who voted.
