Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players bid farewell to Dubai on Thursday after another solid training session in the sunshine.
The Reds have enjoyed an intense week of work in preparation for Sunday’s Premier League contest with Tottenham Hotspur and Ole and his staff are pleased with how the trip has gone.
Looking ahead to the Wembley contest, first-team coach Mike Phelan told us big games are what United players always relish and Sunday will be no different
“It’s a big challenge,
“ he said. ”
But every game at Manchester United is a big challenge because it means you have to express yourself in different ways. The players are really looking forward to it, you can tell that from just being around them. They understand this is the stage that they want, they want to play in these huge games and they want to win these huge games.
Reflecting on having been able to spend some quality time together on and off the pitch together in Dubai, Solskjaer added: “It’s been great. You know it’s a long, hard season and we’ll have ups and downs together. You’ve got to deal with the wins, defeats, setbacks and players not playing but, when you work together, they all want to play and they all want the best for their team-mates and everyone understands this is a team game.”
The Reds will travel back to Manchester on Thursday afternoon with Solskjaer due to address the media at his press conference when the team land.
