Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has agreed to join Premier League club Everton on loan until the end of the season.
Van de Beek’s professionalism and work ethic were recently praised by interim manager Ralf Rangnick, but the fierce competition for places in our midfield has limited his playing time.
A decision was made to allow Donny to look for regular football elsewhere and, as such, the 24-year-old will spend the remainder of 2021/22 with Everton.
Everton's next fixture is an Emirates FA Cup fourth-round tie against Brentford on Merseyside next Saturday, before a key Premier League clash at Newcastle United the following Tuesday.
Van de Beek is one of several players with first-team experience to leave the club on loan during the January transfer window, after Anthony Martial switched to Sevilla and Amad linked up with Rangers.
Earlier in the month, Axel Tuanzebe joined Napoli until the end of the season, while Ethan Laird and Teden Mengi secured temporary moves to Bournemouth and Birmingham City respectively.
Everybody at United wishes Donny well for the rest of the season.
