Revealed: United's fixture changes in October

Three of Manchester United’s four Premier League fixtures for October have been moved for television.

The Reds’ August schedule is already finalised and pits us against Leeds (home), Southampton (away) and Wolves (away).

Newcastle (home), West Ham (away) and Aston Villa (home) follow in September after the first international break of the campaign, with the two games at Old Trafford set to be played at the traditional kick-off time of 15:00 BST on Saturdays.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his side will, of course, be aiming to get off to the best start possible but October is already looking like a crunch month as we face four of last season’s top 10.

How to watch United v Everton

It begins with Everton’s visit to Old Trafford.

Rafa Benitez’s men face United in a pre-season friendly in M16 tomorrow (Saturday) but will come to the Theatre of Dreams in the top flight on Saturday 2 October, before the players once again go away with their national sides.

Kick-off is set for 12:30 BST and the game will be shown live on BT Sport in the UK.

Three weeks later, the Toffees’ Merseyside rivals Liverpool travel up the M62 for perhaps the biggest game in English football.

Although we beat the 2020 champions in last season's Emirates FA Cup, Jurgen Klopp’s men won 4-2 at Old Trafford in May's Premier League meeting and we’re keen for revenge this time around.

The fixture has provisionally been given a new date and time of Sunday 24 October, 16:30 BST, for live broadcast on Sky Sports. Final confirmation of the kick-off time will be given in due course.

Six days later, our supporters will be given the chance to experience the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since it opened in 2019.

The encounter with the North Londoners is on Saturday 30 October, at 17:30 BST. It will be shown live on Sky Sports, for those who can’t make it to the ground.

The clash with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday 16 October retains its 15:00 BST kick-off.

United’s first team could face a further two fixtures during the month.

Matchday three of the Champions League group stage is set for 19 and 20 October – we’ll find out our exact opponents later in August – while the following midweek is when the fourth round of the Carabao Cup takes place.
