Line-ups confirmed: United v Brighton

The team news is in at Old Trafford, where Manchester United host Brighton & Hove Albion in the Emirates FA Cup at 16:30 GMT.

Interim head coach Darren Fletcher makes three changes to our side that started Wednesday's Premier League draw with Burnley, for the third-round tie at home to the Seagulls.

Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount are two of the incomings, after returning from their recent injuries with substitute cameos in midweek, while Leny Yoro is also restored to the XI.

The trio replace Casemiro, Ayden Heaven and Luke Shaw, with Shaw not in the matchday squad this afternoon.

If Fletcher is to line us up in a four-man defence, as he did at Turf Moor, it could be Diogo Dalot, Yoro, Lisandro Martinez and Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu in front of Senne Lammens in goal.

Mainoo is expected to come into a midfield that may also feature Manuel Ugarte and captain Bruno Fernandes, making his second successive start after a recent sideline spell of his own.

Mount and Matheus Cunha are also options to play in the middle of the park but could equally be the two wide players that flank Benjamin Sesko, looking to build on his brace at Burnley, up front.

Our nine-man substitutes bench features the aforementioned Casemiro and Heaven, plus Harry Maguire, who would be making his return to action from injury if he comes on this afternoon.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, meanwhile, has made six changes to the visitors' team that started their Premier League draw at Manchester City on Wednesday.

United Academy graduate Danny Welbeck, who made 142 first-team appearances for the Reds and scored against us for the Seagulls earlier this season, captains the side as one of the six players to come in.
