Three Manchester United players have been named among the shortlists for the Women's Super League’s end-of-season awards.
Midfielder Ella Toone has had her 2021/22 league contributions recognised by being listed as one of nine nominees for the Barclays WSL Player of the Season prize.
Voting is open, and you can back our no.7 here after an impressive campaign for Marc Skinner’s side.
Also up for the accolade are: Jess Carter (Chelsea), Alex Greenwood (Manchester City), Lauren Hemp (Manchester City), Sam Kerr (Chelsea), Beth Mead (Arsenal), Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal), Ashleigh Neville (Tottenham Hotspur) and Guro Reiten (Chelsea).
The 22-year-old also featured in every single one of our WSL matches this term as the Reds narrowly missed out on a Champions League berth on the final day of the campaign.
She didn’t look back and was on particularly good form during a perfect month for United in December, picking up the league’s Player of the Month award as a result.
It has been an achievement-ladened season for Toone, who has reached a century of senior games for her hometown club, while also signing a new contract here until 2025. She has also made her first start for England and registered two hat-tricks while playing for the Lionesses.
Alessia Russo’s determined solo run against Tottenham Hotspur in November makes the list. Our top scorer for the campaign superbly weaved her way past two challenges before powering into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
Having scored direct from a corner just moments earlier at Leigh Sports Village, our captain remarkably did the same again - and for the third time in two matches - with her inswinging delivery beating everyone in the box on its way in.
Just like for the Player of the Season accolade, voting for the goalscoring prize is now open and can be done here, where the other seven nominated efforts can also be found.
They are as follows: Pernille Harder (Manchester United v CHELSEA), Katie McCabe (Aston Villa v ARSENAL), Georgia Stanway (Birmingham City v MANCHESTER CITY), Natasha Dowie (READING v Leicester City), Caroline Weir (MANCHESTER CITY v Manchester United), Yui Hasegawa (Reading v WEST HAM UNITED) and Sam Kerr (CHELSEA v MANCHESTER UNITED).
You have until 11:00 BST on Friday 13 May to back our Reds in the respective categories, while the winners will be announced in due course, after the deadline.
Good luck to Ella, Alessia and Katie, and congratulations on your nominations.
