Manchester United Women have been drawn away to Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Continental Tyres League Cup.
The kick-off time is still to be communicated, as is ticket information, which will be released in due course.
The win ensured that we had enough points to advance to the forthcoming round, although it is still to be confirmed whether that is as group winners or as the ‘best runners-up’, which we will know once the outstanding game in our group between Leicester City and Manchester City is played upon being rescheduled.
The capital side were awarded an automatic bye from the group stage, along with Chelsea, due to their participation in this season’s Champions League.
It will be our second meeting with the Gunners this season, after they edged November’s league contest at Leigh Sports Village, while it will be the first time we have gone head-to-head with them in the League Cup since 2018/19, when they emerged 2-1 winners from our semi-final clash in London.
It was also confirmed on Monday that this season’s final will be played at AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Records Stadium on Sunday 5 March 2022, with tickets available to purchase here.
