Mared Griffiths has signed for Sunderland Women, on a loan deal until the end of the 2025/26 season.
It's a first spell away from United for the 18-year-old midfielder, who signed her maiden professional contract with the club last summer.
Griffiths had made her debut, aged 17, as a late substitute in the Adobe Women's FA Cup victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, scoring twice late on to cap off an impressive introduction to senior club football.
She represented the Wales senior side for the first time a fortnight later, and has four caps to her name so far.
After being named in several matchday squads this season by Marc Skinner, Mared will now gain further experience with the north-east club in WSL2.
Sunderland sit eighth in the 12-team league, which is currently headed by Charlton Athletic.
Best of luck on Wearside, Mared!
