It was a night to forget for Manchester United as Sheffield United were victorious at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
It was the visitors who returned to Yorkshire with the three points, to strengthen their hopes of Premier League survival. The Blades took the lead in the first half after Kean Bryan headed in from a corner, although there was a claim that David De Gea was hindered by Billy Sharp in the build-up.
After the interval, the Reds equalised with a terrific header from captain Harry Maguire. The United skipper found space in the Blades' area and got on the end of a superb Alex Telles delivery. Once the ball hit our no.5's head, there was only one destination as it flew past Aaron Ramsdale.
United tried to find the breakthrough but Chris Wilder's team denied us through good defending. In the 74th minute, their substitute Oliver Burke scored the winner with a strike deflecting off an unlucky Axel Tuanzebe and going in via the crossbar.
