Manchester United Women beat Juventus 1-0 at the Allianz Stadium, securing a seeded place in the knockout stages of this season's UEFA Women's Champions League.
Jess Park's strike was to be the only difference between the two sides, as she curled a delightful effort into the top corner.
Melvine Malard went close to adding a second, with Juve also forcing the Reds to defend valiantly during the second half of proceedings.
But that result means it's a sixth-placed finish in the league phase, with Thursday's draw now set to reveal our play-off opponent for the knockout stages.
We showed our attacking intent right from the off. An early corner for United inside the first minute dropped to the feet of Fridolina Rolfo, who couldn't quite get enough power on her shot to turn it past Pauline Peyraud-Magnin.
A slight error at the back presented a chance for Amalie Vangsgaard to take the lead for the hosts, but Phallon Tullis-Joyce dived to her left to prevent the ball from nestling in the bottom corner. Moments later our shot-stopper rose through a congested penalty area to pluck the ball out of the air from a corner.
But it was United who broke the deadlock 18 minutes in with an attack orchestrated by Park. The midfielder found Melvine Malard on the edge of the box, who played it into the path of Rolfo. Park received the ball off the Swedish international and curled into the top corner to give us the lead in Turin.
Terland then won a free-kick in a promising area, but Janssen's delivery was straight into the arms of the keeper. Park was having a fantastic first half as she launched another attack, carrying the ball from inside her own half all the way to the edge of the area.
With options arriving slowly, she decided to take the shot on herself, but it was deflected wide for a corner by Emma Kullberg. Moments later Park threaded the ball through to Terland, whose shot was also blocked.
The Reds headed into the break a goal to the good, knowing we’d had plenty of opportunities to extend our lead but Marc Skinner was sure to be happy with his team's first-half display.
We stepped off the gas a little in the second half but still had plenty of chances, an early effort from our no.10 was wide of the post and Park had a shot from the edge of the area, but it was a comfortable save for the Juventus goalkeeper.
With just one goal in it, the hosts were still in the game and after our defence handed possession back to the hosts, with Le Tissier forced into making a huge tackle to prevent what looked to be a certain goal.
If Park was the stand out player in the first half, our captain was the star of the second as moments later she flew into a challenge, winning the ball and stifling the hosts attack.
Juventus dominated possession as they fought for an equaliser. The game was getting more physical, Rolfo clashed heads with Cristiana Girelli and Gabby George took a knock. Meanwhile, the hosts were growing in confidence with every free-kick awarded.
Space then opened up for the Reds to counter, a lovely long ball found substitute Leah Galton but the hosts defence dealt with it well.
Moments later, Teri found herself on the deck in what looked like a stonewall penalty but the referee motioned for her to get to her feet. VAR didn't intervene either.
Still Juventus came forward as we entered five minutes of stoppage time. United had to dig deep to defend our three points and breathed a sigh of relief as with the last kick of the game Juve dragged a shot wide of the up-right.
It meant United finished sixth in the league and set up a more favourable draw in the play-offs, ensuring a seeded place in Thursday's draw.
