Paul Pogba has picked out his highlight from April after being voted Manchester United’s Player of the Month.
The Frenchman beat off competition from team-mates Ander Herrera and Alexis Sanchez to claim the star-man award for the second time this term, after also winning the accolade back in August.
April was a successful month for Pogba, with the dynamic midfielder scoring three goals and registering two assists in the Reds’ five games during the month in all competitions.
He was instrumental in United’s magnificent turnaround against Manchester City, scoring twice in as many minutes in the second half, as the Reds came from two goals down to win 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium and put our cross-city rivals’ title celebrations on hold.
When asked what stood out for him in April, Pogba told MUTV: “I would definitely say City is the best memory, even if they did win the league.”
The 25-year-old expressed his gratitude to the United fans who voted for him in our poll on Twitter, and insists his sole focus is on helping the Reds to end the season on a high.
“I’m very happy,” said Pogba, reacting to the news of his Player-of-the-Month win. “I would like to thank everybody that voted for me. But the most important thing for me is I would like us to finish second and to win the FA Cup. That would be great for everyone.”
Reflecting on the season so far as a whole, Pogba feels he's had a good campaign on a personal level and has contributed more for the team this term.
“I had a big injury and missed a lot of games, but now I feel much better,”
Pogba told Premier League Productions. “And I've been proving it with more assists. I'm not hitting the crossbar and the post like last season, so I'm happy. I've been involved in a few goals so I'm pretty happy.”

The midfielder has also worn the captain's armband on several occasions this season - an honour which gives him an added feeling of pride.
“It's good that the manager believes in you, and the players,”
he added. “It's an honour to wear the captain's [armband], and just to wear the shirt and play at Old Trafford. I was here in the Academy and, for me, it was a dream to play for the first team, and I did it, so yeah, I'm very proud.”
