Tullis-Joyce shares 2024/25 WSL Golden Glove

Manchester United goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce has claimed a share of the 2024/25 WSL Golden Glove thanks to her league-high tally of clean sheets.

Having arrived from Seattle Reign in 2023, Tullis-Joyce succeeded Mary Earps as our starting goalkeeper last summer and has enjoyed a stunning campaign between the sticks.

Phallon kept 13 clean sheets across our 22 WSL fixtures, the same number as Chelsea's Hannah Hampton. Both players will receive the prestigious goalkeeper award, which has been handed out each season since 2019/20 and was previously won by Earps in 2022/23.

Our no.91 started her season with a clean sheet at Old Trafford in a commanding 3-0 win over West Ham back in September and hasn't looked back. She wasn't beaten at all until the fourth league game of the season and had only conceded in six games through our first 19 fixtures.

Those performances saw Phallon earn a deserved place in the recently announced 2024/25 Barclays WSL Team of the Season, alongside United colleagues Maya Le Tissier and Grace Clinton.

Club form has also led to international recognition, receiving a first official senior United States call-up from head coach Emma Hayes in November. That eventually paved the way for a USA debut in a friendly win against Brazil last month, in which she naturally kept a clean sheet.

What's more, there is still plenty of Phallon, as popular with fans off the pitch as she is on it, to come for United after recently signing a new contract until 2028.

Meanwhile, Elisabeth Terland finished joint-third in this season's Golden Boot race, which was shared by Arsenal's Alessia Russo and Manchester City's Khadija Shaw, each scoring 12 times in the WSL.

Teri bagged 10 league goals in her debut season with the Reds, only the third United player to reach double figures in a top-flight league season after Russo and Leah Galton during 2022/23 (both also 10). The milestone 10th goal came during Saturday's narrow defeat at the Emirates Stadium.
