Confirmed: PSG's travelling squad to face United

Paris Saint-Germain have announced their 23-man travelling squad for Wednesday’s crunch Champions League tie at Old Trafford.

Attacking stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have been included in the party, with the former having scored the winner in last week’s 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig, after recovering from a three-week injury lay-off.

Influential captain Marquinhos and midfield creator Marco Verratti have also made the trip to Manchester.

The pair missed our 2-1 win in the Group H opener through injury but their return gives Thomas Tuchel’s side – who need to win in M16 to stave off the possibility of dropping into the Europa League – a boost.

Tuesday Briefing: Early team news for PSG

Former Red Ander Herrera is set to play at Old Trafford for the first time since joining the Parisians on a free transfer in the summer of 2019, but four key players from the French side’s run to last season’s final have not travelled.

Full-back Juan Bernat is a long-term absentee, having ruptured a cruciate ligament in September, while playmaker Julian Draxler is still out with a hamstring injury.

Pablo Sarabia and Mauro Icardi featured off the bench during Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Bordeaux in Ligue Un, but have since experienced issues in training, meaning they’ll have to sit out of this encounter.

United require just a point to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition, after winning three of four games so far.

PSG are second on six points, and leading RB Leipzig in terms of head-to-head rankings. They host Istanbul Basaksehir in their final group game, on 8 December.
