Team news: Ole names side to face Huddersfield

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made three changes to his Manchester United side to face Huddersfield today from the XI who started the 1-1 draw last Sunday against Chelsea.

As the Reds look to stay in the battle for the two vacant Champions League berths against relegated Huddersfield, the United manager has brought back Phil Jones into his defence to replace the injured Eric Bailly who was forced off against Chelsea after suffering a medial knee ligament injury.

Scott McTominay starts for the first time since the European defeat to Barcelona in the Nou Camp, in place of Ander Herrera in midfield; Herrera is on the bench.

Solskjaer’s other change is the return of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean striker is back in the starting XI for the first time since being KO’d in the match against Southampton at the beginning of March.

Alexis joins Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata in attack, with Rashford overcoming the shoulder injury that hampered him against Chelsea, and comes in for Romelu Lukaku, who wasn’t in the travelling squad for the penultimate Premier League match of the campaign in Yorkshire.

There is also a place on the bench for Tahith Chong.
